I wonder how the column "Mayberry After Midnight" got its name. Who in Mayberry stayed up past midnight? Even on his wildest day, Barney's head hit the pillow at quarter after 11. It could be Ernest T Bass, but he wouldn't make the society column in the newspaper ( and if he did, someone would have to read it to him).
