Im sure this has to have been brought up before; but Im doing it now because the subject was brought up last night with a girlfriend of mine. My back has been out for about a week and Ive laid in front of the TV watching bookoo's of TAGS reruns from my collection. I was going through some " In COLOR " eps and the subject of Bareys replacement came up. Noone will ever replace the character of Barney. You can fill in the place of Barney but not his character as Barney did it. BUT who would be best to replace him? Someone to fit in and do the things Barney does? To aggravate Andy and the Town. Someone who has very acute peculiarities about himself? My gal instantly spewed out the name " Tim Conway". I thought about it for a few seconds and agreed without a doubt, he would have been the perfect replacement. He wouldnt have been a "Barney " on the show but what Tim Conway could have been as a replacement Im sure would have kept the TAGS on the air alot longer and at full steam with lots of laughing. Just my thoughts Do you have any?
