As a long time TAGS fan I was sad to see Andy Griffith use such a classic and beloved show in such a polarizing and undignified way as a political spot. It is enjoyed by millions of all political persuasion and to use it as a forum that goes against 50% of the country was in my opinion a huge mistake. Having said that, I will still watch every episode knowing it is the characters that were so brilliantly created that we enjoy not the real life actors.
