I thought I'd write about what all of us see when we watch the show - the Landscape of Mayberry. In particular, I was thinking of the similarities in the scenery of North Carolina/Blue Ridge area and the scenes filmed out in Cal-ee-for-nee. I think the scenery locater or property personnel or whomever selected the locations did a wonderful job. Of course, some things you just can't recreate, but overall, it seems like most of the outdoors scenes integrated wonderfully well into that small town feel. I was thinking about the Myers Lake scenes, for example. In "Andy and Helen Have Their Day" it does seem a whole world away from Mayberry.
