I agree with most of what has said about nothing on TV today being as
good as The Andy Griffith Show. There is a show, though, on the
Discovery Channel that I enjoy watching, sometimes with my daughter
called "Mythbusters". It's kind of a cross between Odd Facts Known by
Few, Learn a Month Magazine and Magic Tricks any Boy Can Do.
Basically the premise is taking a Common Statement or Myth and
trying to Prove or Disprove it scientifically using electronal marvels
and stuff like one of those chemistry set that you can make stink bombs
with. They often take on scenes in Movies or television shows, and seek
out to prove whether they are factual or not.
So I've been thinking about our favorite show and wondering what Scene
or concept I would like to have tested out for fun on Mythbusters
(knowing that many of them would be disproved or "busted")
Here is the Top of my list, and wonder what other things you would like
to see tried.
1) The Loaded Goat. Could dynamite actually explode after it had
been ingested?? Now don't worry animal lovers, they don't do anything
that would harm live animals. They'd find another way to test.
If so, could the dynamite be exploded simply by the goat
butting against a wall? Or falling down?
Being shot with a rifle (most likely) etc.
2) Mythbusters has done tests related to drinking. How about
Otis's hangover cure? Do "showers" really work to sober someone up?
3) They could actually do the train running over a penny test,
because they have all kind of safety experts and equipment.
4) Part of the fun, even if the "Myth" is busted is seeing them
re-enact whatever the myth is. They usually spare no expense. How
about having one expert disassemble a car and put it back together
inside a room.
OK what else would you like to see them try to
prove/reenact? Are Giraffe's really selfish?
