Many small towns did not have bus stations. My hometown of Louisa VA, about 30 miles from Charlottesville, had 4 buses daily for the early years....2 went east, 2 went west. Then it cut to 2 a day, one east and one west. The station was at the Ford dealer's and you could buy your ticket at the dealer's or pay the driver, which most did. A ride to Richmond, 50 miles away, was something like 2.75 one way. When the bus came in, you met your party at the bus and there was no going inside for that. Small towns were great!! TheCameraNutttt, and yes, I took pictures around that time as well!! **************Life should be easier. So should your homepage. Try the NEW AOL.com.
