For one reason and another (College, Army), I was away from a TV set from 1968 until 1972. This week TV Land had been broadcasting the final shows of Andy with Sam Jones showing up. It got me to wondering, since Andy and Helen left Mayberry in 1969, but Sam, Howard, Emmett, and Goober stayed around, did they ever show who replaced Andy as Sheriff on Mayberry RFD? TV Land does not show reruns of Mayberry RFD and I have not purchased the DVD's as of yet so I do not know the answer to this question. I know there are a lot of you who will know the answer to this question.
