Cheri, I got curious about Cora and tried to look her up. I saw Cora's
Country Cookbook written by Margaret Hamilton who played the wicked witch of
Oz in the movie. I didn't see her name in the TAGS database though. I must
say looking at the picture on the book cover, she'd fit right in
Mayberry. She's wearing an apron and is holding a tasty looking pie, you'd
never guess her as someone who'd employ flying monkeys.

Apparently there's some confusion as I know Margaret Hamilton never played
Cora on the "Andy Griffith Show." She did, however, play Cora, the general
store owner, in a series of commercials for Maxwell House Coffee in the late
1970s. She stressed Maxwell House was the only brand she sold, and "When
something works, you stick with it." That's apparently the origin of the
cookbook.

Perhaps the confusion with TAGS came from the fact that her store was
apparently located in a small town, and Maxwell House was (still back then) a
General Foods product, and GF sponsored TAGS 15 years earlier.
