Once again, TVLand left me shaking my head.I watched "Crime-free Mayberry" as I was drifting off to sleep Sunday night — a very pleasant way to end a relaxing day. At the end of the episode, I smiled waiting for Barney to emerge on stage as the faux FBI feller was speaking. I could hear that tenor voice ring out: "We defy the Mafia!"Nope. Cut.The next scene was Andy awaiting the other crook inside the bank vault. Why do they slice such humor from a show when there's so much bunk on the channel.I wish they would leave a classic untouched.
