Lisa, to answer the last question first, the name of Andy's late wife was never
mentioned.

As to the DVD's, if you get all the complete seasons (1-8), you will have all
the shows. The other collections ("Best of," etc.) that you see out have some
or all of the sixteen episodes that are in the public domain (meaning anyone
has the right to copy and sell them). There are a bunch of those collections
out there, but if you have all the complete seasons, you will have those as
well, and at a better quality, so don't bother with them.

The pilot episode, which was actually an episode of Danny Thomas's show, is
available on one of his DVD sets and also on the complete set of TAGS (that is,
when you by the set of all eight seasons together, not individually), as has
been reported by others.

The 1986 made-for-TV reunion movie "Return to Mayberry" is available on video,
but is rather hard to find. Most people seem to get it off eBay. I was
thrilled when a member of WBMUTBB? gave me a copy sometime back (bless her
heart!). I wonder if it is in the public domain because it's not put out by
Paramount like the season episodes are.

There are no "official" DVD's of "Mayberry RFD" yet. Some web sites claim to
sell them, but they are apparently bootlegs, and I would not trust them. Some
people on the digest have been ripped off by such places (they take your money
but don't send the DVD's).

Hope this info helps!
