To answer the question about eating snails vs. touching worms, I have eaten snails several times and I would eat them again. They are gooood. However, I have never baited a hook with a worm and have no intention of ever doing so. If I was offered a worm for that purpose, I would definitely say "yick'. My daddy always baited my hooks for me.
