LOL, Aunt Bee of Orlando how could anyone disinclude you in anything as sweet as you are. Eatting snails isn't a bad thing same as yelling yick to a worm. I was just curious about it is all, it seemed odd to me that putting something slimy in your mouth would be no different then baiting a hook. Personally I bait hooks but wouldn't eat a snail, maybe step on a few or dig a fresh one out for bait but not eat it.
