I just saw on my local news station that they are coming out with a "I love
Lucy" stamp.

There's actually a whole series of stamps devoted to classic TV. It not
only includes Lucy but also Burns & Allen, Groucho Marx's game show and "The
Twilight Zone." As far as I know, "The Andy Griffith Show" is not
included...yet.

There used to be a rule--a rule that appears to be on its way to being
phased out, there are more and more "exceptions"--that except for US
presidents, a
person couldn't be depicted on a postage stamp unless he/she had been dead
for 10 years. That might be why we haven't seen a TAGS stamp yet, as Don
Knotts only recently left us. The most obvious image, though, would be the
opening shot of Andy and Opie headed to a fishing trip and of course, Andy
Griffith and Ron Howard are still very much with us. That might also explain
why
we're not yet seeing a "Dick Van Dyke Show" stamp with Rob tripping over the
ottoman, as Dick is also still very much with us.
