RALEIGH, N.C. — Actor Andy Griffith will again usher in a new North Carolina
governor. The North Carolina native will participate in Saturday's inauguration
of Gov.-elect Beverly Perdue in Raleigh. Her office said Wednesday he will
deliver a reading following her inaugural address.

I attended the 2000 inauguation and Andy read the North Carolina State Toast
(http://www.netstate.com/states/symb/toast/nc_a_toast.htm). It was the first
time I had seen him in person and was a thrill, even from so far away.
