I have a CD of 'The Byrds' featuring Douglas Dillard on electric banjo playing at the Piper Club in Rome, Italy on May 2, 1968. His banjo accents the rock numbers like 'My Back Pages' quite well and is simply incendiary on 'Feel a Whole Lot Better.' Dillard's inclusion in 'The Byrds' European tour occurred immediately following his acrimonious split with 'The Dillards.' He did not close the door lightly when he went.
