Didn't Barney talk about Leonard Blush having a skin condition? Maybe it was catching - weren't there others with skin conditions in Mayberry? Of course, Barney's "daughter in law" doesn't count, because he made her up - and I think Tillie just had long teeth but fine skin. Seems to me there were other folks with skin conditions.
