I can't recall a time that Goober was in church, except I think when Andy Jr. was being baptised and there was the fight over who the godfather was - I think Goob made an appearance then.
Maybe Goober could have profited from Aunt Bee's advice to Andy - "You hang around jails so much, maybe you ought to go to church more often!"
