I think Goober going to the Methodist Church is a very likely possibility. Also maybe the ride he takes with his mother on Sundays is to a different Church in a nearby town. But I seem to recall when Mr Tucker came to town, Goober was out at the lake in his speedy boat that's why he wasn't available for auto work. Perhaps that was after Church and after driving his mother around? Makes ya think!
