I read and cant remember in detail about Andy as a child fell off a rope/swing back in his day of Mt. Airy. He landed flat on his back. He did permanent damage to his back. What exactly happened IN his back I dont know. But I was watching him in the episode where Flora has eyes for Andy and not Goober. Their out in the woods. Flora supposedly hurts her ankle. Andy pics her up and then bends over AGAIN with HER in his arms the 2cd time to pick up his shotgun. Flora is a stocky gal if you remember. Evidently Andy has a pretty good back.
