How-do Everyone, I was watching the other night and I noticed a pattern of fibbing going on in Mayberry......not out of selfishness or meanness mind you, but usually to protect someone's feelings.....how many fibs can you recall being told in Mayberry....I'll start:
Aunt Bee telling Peggy she hasn't seen Andy when he was standing right there Aunt Bee saying the Chicken Ala King was delicious when she knew it tasted like wallpaper paste Andy telling Barney his uvula was red and swollen so he wouldn't sing Andy and Barney saying Aunt Bee's pickles were good when they were just like kerosene cucumbers Floyd telling Madeline Grayson that Andy and Opie were his sons Can you think of more?
