Last year many of you members of the Digest bought copies of my book and then donated them to our troops overseas. Today's Sunday edition of our newspaper had a follow-up story about the Books for Troops program in Eau Claire. All the books you bought and donated were sent successfully to our troops. The article said that it took more time than originally planned as there was a lot of security involved and also difficulty getting them shipped because the total books donated was more than 1500. Most of the books were picked up by a National Guard Unit for shipment. I just wanted you to know that you can be assured that somewhere overseas a soldier will receive the book you donated. I did put the names and addresses of the donors in the book in hopes that you might be contacted by the person who receives your book.
