There is the time Melissa Stevens and her dad (Uncle Fester) tried to con Barney out of money by claiming that Barney proposed to Melissa.? Of course, Uncle Fester turned out to be her husband. Andy let them go but told them they had to leave Mayberry. They could have been charged with fraud, extortion, blackmail, lying to a public official (to Andy), etc.....
