Speaking of courting and my wife, why when we first started dating her
mother insisted that the only way we could go out was if we double dated
with another couple. So for over a year every time we went out it was me
and Linda and her ma and pa. Of course her pa sat in the front seat with me
and her ma sat in the back seat with her. And then when we came to saying
good night I could only shake Linda's hand and I had to kiss her mother good
night. Boy what I would have given for a good leg of lamb back then.
