I hope I'm not breaking a number law in saying so, but sometimes I think
we're a little rough on TV Land. Yeah, I know they've changed their
programming, and sometimes that's been to the detriment of when TAGS is
shown. BUT I gotta say, like Sherriff Taylor, they're one of the best
friends we people in Mayberry have - simply in the fact they've
regularly broadcast the show over the past several years. There's even
something positive in their re-edits ("Giraffes are selfish" not
withstanding): Many of us had NEVER seen some of the epilogues before.
We have TV Land to thank. Even if they totally stopped showing TAGS
today, I think we owe them a huge debt of gratitude. They've done way
yonder more than their share of keeping Mayberry and her spirit alive.
