Mt Barney moment
(hopefully this just posts once, submitted and I think it was too large so splitting in two) >>>Got me to wondering if that show will have anything to do with that bobcat that Andy killed with his bare hands?<<< You know, that is one good to in to the story I'm going to tell. And another is Barneys Theory about the fox coming down out of the hills to steal a pie and a ham, and some other fool. But this story is really about my Barney Moment this past weekend. I don't want to spoil it, so I'll make this point at the end. Here is how the saga began I have a live squirrel in my fireplace at home The fireplace has a glass cover. There is a narrow opening that I can stick something in like a yardstick, or a match. There are leaves that it has brought in, and a fire log sitting on the grate. The flue is obviously open What do you do? ------------------------------------------------ OK the saga is over, The squirrel is gone, the fireplace is cleaned out..end of story, thanks for all of the helpful hints and advice Ohhh, you want to know how it ended? I owe you that you say for all the bother and helpful tips? It's no big deal, really. Ingenuity, Bravery, Persistence, Humane..all that..yeah it all happened. Is that enough,,,everybody happy?? OK OK in honor of the late great Paul Harvey,, I'll tell you "The rest of the story" I used a dog cage, lots of boxes and a large sheet of visqueen. ..and lots of duct tape. I created a place for the varmint to go, to escape the fire place. I sealed off all other paths, so that when I opened the fireplace he would go in there. This was my impenetrable fortress I watched and waited for the move most of Friday night. I also practiced how I would slide the cage door on to trap him..you see I had to take to door off for the cage to fit flush against the opening. Giving up for the night, I closed the fireplace and went to bed. ] _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
