Thanks for the link to the Paul Harvey "Rest of the Story" about Mt. Airy. I
had not heard that one. When I listen to the "Rest of the Story" programs,
it's always fun to try to figure out who the subject is before the end of the
program--the Mt. Airy story would have been one we would have all guessed after
about the first 20 seconds or so.
I'm the one who made the original request, and I was thinking of the essay he
did during a Saturday Noon program back in the 1990's called "Finding the Way
Back to Mayberry". Several were kind enough (behind the eyes) to e-mail me the
transcript to that piece--I 'preciate it! I'll ask again if anybody has the
audio of that program--I'm guessing it probably doesn't exist, other than in
the ABC archives. Anybody have any idea if you can request copies of a program
from the network?
