Teary Moments: The scene in Opie, The Birdman, where Opie is sitting on his bed after Andy comes in to confront him about killing the bird and tells Opie to "sit there and listen to those baby birds chirping because their Mama's never coming back"....that always gets to me. Opie is just crushed.
Another one is when Andy thinks that Opie went "on a spending spree" with the 50 dollars he found after finding out who the money belonged to and Andy takes him out of the store and back to the Courthouse and starts yelling at him..... When Opie's report card gets changed from all A's because Miss Crump made a mistake and he runs away because he thinks that his Pa is so disappointed in him. Andy finds him on the road and Opie says that he was going to go away until he could make Andy proud of him again..... When Opie purposely got himself fired from a job because he found out that the other boy's family needed the money more and Andy confronts him about it.....
