I was watching Dogs, Dogs, Dogs yesterday and wondered if any of the TAGS
lines were ad libbed? When Barney puts the dogs into the car and goes
around to the other side, he tells the Airedale, "Move over, I'm driving."
That seems like an ad lib to me. It seems like such an unimportant line,
but maybe the writers inserted it and the dog was told to sit in the
driver's seat. Does anyone have any opinions on this. Could there be
episodes with ad libs? Barney and Andy were masters of the craft. It
sounds reasonable that they'd be able to stick in a sentence here and there
and the director would allow it.
I love the epilogue where Andy are Barney are leaning against the door when
Clint Biggers tries to get it. Andy says, "If that's them dogs, I ain't
moving." Then they open the door a crack and both look down towards the
sidewalk. Then they both slowly look up and see Mr. Biggers. What a
wonderfully comic scene!

Kind behind the eyes
