Love the stuff you folks have come up with lately, thanks for interesting
reading. Haven't contributed in a while so I thought I would join in.
Kim, I'm not sure a cell phone would have done Barney any good. I don't think
you can get any bars all the way out at Myer's Lake.
Mike, we had the Jewel T man come by our house too. I loved the orange drink
syrup they sold in the old glass bottles. Mix a teaspoon in a glass of water
and make great orange drink (at least it was great in 1960). My mother always
bought their laundry detergent as well. If I remember correctly, they sold
almost everything, kind of like Bert Miller, except they had a truck to drive
around in. By the way, my grandparents were on a party line until the mid 60's
with two other families. I just can't remember how many rings their line was.
My memory is not as sharp as it used to be. Also, my memory is not as sharp as
it used to be.
