I have waited a few days to see if anyone mentioned the person I was thinking about. No one mentioned him, so I thought I would. When Gomer is getting ready for his date with Mary Grace, Andy tells him to comb his hair like Ralph Bellamy. I always thought Ralph Bellamy was a fine actor. He appeared in the hilarious film, "His Girl Friday" in 1940 and lived long enough to even appear in two episodes of Matlock in 1987.
On another subject, yesterday there was a letter about cars in Mayberry. Does anyone know the model of Floyd's car, you know the one he and Barney took fishing in the show about women convicts?
