I asked this question a few years back and never received a response. I did a little research, freeze frame, etc. I believe it was a Smith and Wesson Model 10. It would have been period correct (early 60's). These were frequently carried by Police Officers. I believe there was even a M & P version for Military and Police. I have one now and call it my "barney gun".
