Just saw the episode "The Ball Game," which always fascinated me because of its airdate: October 3, 1966. That was *way* outside Little League/school baseball season, but just two days before the LA Dodgers took on the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series (the Orioles swept in four games). Methinks someone on the writing staff had a case of Dodger fever. (Of course I know Ron Howard also played real life baseball back then and this was likely a nod to him as well.) Anyway, does anyone know where the ball game scenes were filmed? It looked like a real ball park as opposed to one built just for the episode and I doubt one would be a permanent part of the 40 Acres set, since it would take up space and be used so rarely. Plus, being filmed outside baseball season would make a real baseball diamond more readily available than if the crew had to work around a league's schedule during the spring and summer.
