>>>>A number of years ago I gave one of these comic books to George
Lindsey, and he said he'd never heard of it.? I'll bet that one of the
producers had though.? George said the way he understood it was, the
idea for him to wear such a?cap came from real filling station mechanics
who worked under cars on lifts, and that the upturned brim all the way
around the cap was to keep oil that dripped on the mechanics head from
running down onto his face and neck. Paul Mulik<<<<

Wow Paul, you are the man of many answers! Just last week we learned on
the Mayberry Podcast, what the answer to the Riddle was..What did the
Mirror say to the Dresser?

Now the source of Goober's beanie!! Do you reckon we'll find out soon
what they were saying about Myra Koontz down at the Lingerie shop?

>>Wasn't Ernie Gilley the guy that owned the car that Goober
dis-assembled in
the courthouse?<<<<

No Ted that was Giley Earley...I mean Gilley Walker. That speed speed
speed just kept him in trouble. After getting his license suspended he
went to the Marines for a hitch with Gomer, and then after that he ended
up in a German Prison Camp.

Hey did you see that Clint Howard is going to be in that new movie about
the Smith Brothers Institution (Night at the Museum) . I can't wait to
see it.
Now I'm going to be very cautious here, because I don't want to start a
political discussion. But did you see what happen to our Country's
leaders when they decided to get rid of Guantanamo Bay prison? Did it
remind you of the Cannon? "You all wanted to close it and get rid of
it. Now nobody wants the prisoners!! We're going to have to pay
someone to haul them off" I think Barney would have voted to keep it.
Feel free to comment on the joke, but not the real issue, please. Keep
it Mayberry!

Did anyone get to watch that video I sent about Jim Nabors??
