The answer to the song was 'The Midnight Special'. It reached #16 in february
of 1960 and Andy sang it sometime in November, I think he only sang the
original chorus and parodied
the rest of it toward Barney.
I found our unknown man in two more episodes, 'Big Fish In A Small Town' and
'Aunt Bee, the Swinger' I,ve been working on this since Tom Posted it. I
thought it was Briscoe Darling's truck he stepped in front of. have to back
through those scenes again.
