This is a charming story about a couple of Civil wars Cannons in the Mayberry-esque town of Liberty Indiana. Also you will note mention of Centerville Indiana, home to Digest Member Frank Johnson (I hope I got that right). I have been through both of these towns many times and they are very nice. Now, why didn't the Mayberry folks think of "Restoring" the Cannon instead of keeping it rusty or selling it?? I'll bet the Milo boys and Bert would help. You know Goober and Warren (if he were there at time) would be glad to play with the cannon. The article tells what the initials GAR stands for. Good thing. I would have guessed it was Tracy Rupert's brother..Garth Allen Rupert.
