Watching #16 today, "Andy Saves Barney's Morale," there is a scene on the
porch of the hotel (small as it is) with Jud and Chester playing checkers.
Behind Chester is a sign detailing the times of the meals at the hotel.

I don't recall such a sign in other episodes nor do I recall any mention of
food being served at the hotel. Plus, to me, the sign does not properly
portray small town NC in the 60s. First of all, it notes Breakfast, Lunch,
Dinner. Back in those days, we were more likely to call them Breakfast,
Dinner, Supper. Breakfast didn't start until 8:00. Heck, in a small,
agricultural town like Mayberry, breakfast would have been over before 8.
And Dinner (Supper) wasn't served until 7:00. Again, the last meal of the
day would have been over well before 7.

I guess the prop dept didn't know any better.
