great friendly debate here but look at these perceptive findings. It was nightime, when Aunt Bee threw the vase down. she couldnt see below who it was . We knew it was Otis thats the comic punch but her character wanting sleep didnt I believe. Her character demanded she get her sleep and the script called for Otis to get the vase regardless. None of us can prove a thing here but the fun here is that i wouldnt put it past the writers to get in a dig just for fun to gauge her reaction to dropping the vase (pot). Im sure she offered resentment over doing it but had no choice. She told me generally she wasnt treated fairly by the younger generation . Also Frances told me she fed more than steak as i once stated. she loved cats . i have one..Teddy age 8. And remember friends to bolster another point, Aunt Bee on a few ocassions wore glasses but not at bedtime in the dark. She couldnt figure out at that late hour if it Otis or anyone. To us the meow wasnt effective . but to her ,the fact it was a cat , regardless, her character called for a accident. All of this is fun . it could be a good time to check out other things the script called for her to do that she'd not do orinarily in real life. also her face doesnt demonstrate she was on to any deception. Great actress great character great show but poor little kitty. or i should say poor little Otis. God Bless. Tom Kessel Col Tims protege reject. god bless you all. _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
