Shocking, it was....just shocking. I just noticed on tonight's TV Land episode "Andy's English Valet", that our beloved deputy uttered a near-expletive. As he was pulling Malcolm Merriweather off the hood of the truck, Barney loudly said "Get the hell off there!" It was nearly lost in the commotion of the scene, but it seemed oddly out of place and out of character. I figured Don Knotts was merely ad-libbing. Does anyone recall any other instances of odd dialog or action in other eps? For example, Barney's suspicion that the farmer (Sam?) might be growing marijuana? Again, that seemed out of place in Mayberry.
