Everyone is talking about body doubles for each character. That reminds me that I read in the book "Mayberry 101", that in the episode where Ernest T. Bass does not believe that Charlene Darling and Dud Wash are officially married, Charlene and Barney each wore the wedding dress. The wardrobe person said that she did not have to make a single alteration to the wedding dress after Charlene wore it for it to fit Barney. So I guess if Charlene cut her hair short and dyed it black, she could be a double for Barney.
