We so often refer to the comedy of TAGS and rightfully so but what about the
dramatic scenes. There were several of them over the years.
The writers and directors have to be given credit for being able to intertwine
these scenes with the comedy and not destroy either. I can think of two scenes
right now.
The first one I can't place in an episode but It's where Andy and Ben Weaver
are arguing and Andy says, 'When it's that man's time to go, He ain't going
like the rest of us He'sjust going to nasty away" Did you notice the expression
on Andy's face. I think it was more of pity than anything. Then there's where
Andy confronts Howard in 'Big Brother' about how Tommy Parker has fooled Howard
into thinking he's really studying on his own. If you pick a dramatic scene it
has to stand on it's own. No comedy in it.
