The following may be way off topic, but I'd like to give it a try. The subject
of language in Mayberry occasionally comes up, and I've often thought how it's
similar to speech patterns on the eastern shore of VA. So, here's a reverse
question. The eastern shore has a construction that substitutes "at" for "to."
Example: Did you have fun to the fair. I've tried to figure out where it
came from. Anyone ever notice it in TAGS dialogue? Is it familiar to any of
our NC posters? If the answer is yes and you think I'm way out of bounds in
terms of subject, please feel free to PM me at the above e-address or
[email protected].

Thanks.
