It's interesting how some of the towns mentioned on TAGS take on "big city" or at least "big town" status, even if the real towns probably aren't quite that way. To me, Mt. Pilot seemed at least as big as Mayberry, and Siler City seemed like..well, a city. Now Raleigh was the big time...big! Wasn't there a Saverton mentioned when Aunt Bea(e) had to go there once to take care of someone? It seems like there's a Saverton in Missouri, but I'm not sure about NC.
