Harry thanks for the kind words regarding Casey Adams.Lyle Talobot was fun talking to.Since you mentioned Dragnet, i did an interview with the legendary Jack Webb. that was posted a few days ago on the website alan was nice to set up for me. The Mayberry Minutes is running late for August The King of Mayberry told me. .It has a great story on my interviews with Burt Mustin. Today i saw on the marathon ,The foreclosure. Who can forget that touching scene of Mrs. Scoby crying her tears after Andy trying to shame Ben Weaver, goes thru the sharade. it gets me everything i see her cry. Will Wright the great character actor who played Ben died of cancer in 1962. i had at least 4 or 5 fellow actors tell me he was a dear sweet man , just the opoosite with a heart of gold and very sentimental. He was only ill a few short months when he died. this is an actor who was born "old" .We never saw him young. The very ending the way Andy Griffith burst out laughing uncontrobally while Barney is singing is a gem. And now I see Mayberry on Record is one and folks it pains me to tell you , the actor Hugh Marlowe who guested was according to a number of actors just about thr unfriendliest person..very stuck up i was told as if he was better than you. i tried for an autograph in 1975 and got a hasty refusal saying mr, Marlowe doesnt believe in autographs. I say no more. not a complaint here merely an observation. We are lucky he wasnt one of our Mayberry residents. they are the best there is .Its all b&w episodes today and tomorrow night on tvland. Dick Ryan ill wait for your appearence in Dont miss a Good Bet hopefully next weekend if they go back to color. Lastly: In the Foreclosure, as in early shows, Floyds hair is grayer then made darker in later episodes. just a observation im sure all you fans already knew. Bless you all as always.Tom Kessel, Col.Tims Protege Reject. _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
