Happ Anniversary to The Andy Griffith Show--Mike "CJ" Becker/ Ernest T. Bass
Thank you Mike,not that it matters and I appreciate your excitement, but you
were one day early.
If I am reading the calendar right today is Oct. 3rd 2010. 49 years ago this
evening The Andy Griffith Show premiered on CBS at 9:30 EST. It was sandwiched
between The Danny Thomas Show and Hennessey.
Who, among us could have invisioned the impact this half hour sit-com would
have on so many lives these many years later. It is but a small tribute to
those who gave us so many entertaining minutes in which, if but for only a half
hour each Monday evening, we could escape the realities of an ever changing
world and subplant ourselves into the quaint surroundings of the small town of
Mayberry.
Thank you, Andy for those thousands of minutes of joy and I hope I speak for
everyone here at WBMUTBB when I say we will forever be in your debt.

Thank you Andy, we have enjoyed every little morsel.
Could I suggest that this evening at 9:30 EST we each pause for a moment in
celebration of the success of the greatest television show ever.
