Look Paw im Dancin for starters.Eat Your Heart Out with Goober &Flora is a good one.The Gypsies a good one ,Baby in The House classic Aunt Bee and the blueberry pie with our friend Alvy Moore.Note the look on his face,his eyes as Aunt Bee says "Come on upstairs" Well the County Clerk a classic with Jack Dodson and the great Mabel Albertson.I always liked the story of Jack telling TAGS fans on talk shows his character of Howard was a mama's boy later developed to a new slant with him getting away from the "sissy" role. He was superb in this growing role.This is gem where as i told you readers look at Jack's funny out of character smile as Andy sheepishly dances with Mabel. Goobers Replacement so so (to me anyway) Look Paw Im Dancin a great episode of Opie maturing and ah yes this i like, the best to last. The Foster Lady. My dear friend Robert Emhardt graduating from Mr Tucker his most famous TAGS role (who dares disagree there) to the charming but slightly schemer Mr Foster (how dare him poke fun at Aunt Bee) Mr Foster. He told me , at the time Ronnie Schell was being groomed for bigger things (Good Morning World sadly failed but i did know Billy DeWolf ) at this time.Note Fosters easy going very tolerant nature here towards Aunt Bees poor interpretation of the Foster Lady. To this day ill never forget, he said "Tom kids still think only of me as the Judge on The Brady Bunch" The power of tv , he added. a gentlemen every inch of the way in real life.all in color.
