Martha when you wrote about The Blob playing on TCM opposite TAGS with Ania Corsaut, naturally I had to write to remind viewers what she told me in 1971 by phone. I never dreamnt she be so livid but in hindsight from an aspiring actresses point of view, Anita told me "Tom Dont remind of that movie please. I had to leave the country for several years because i was so embarrassed to be seen in that movie. it was just dreadful." She adored Steve mcQueen as she did religously with Andy Griffith but take it from me who talked to her, Forget about The Blob .Instead think TAGS among Anita's credits.Yet she Anita had such an engaging contagious beautiful laugh even when she scorned that dreadful film.What a darling angel.And she was right in the phone book like Frances Bavier for anyone to call.
