Our local station runs an Andy episode every weekday morning at 0830. They
always cut out the epilogue, but a little Andy is better than nothing. Anyway,
this morning they were showing the episode with George and Melissa Stevens
charging Barney with breach of promise. I noticed when Barney took Melissa
into the Mayberry post office, I could not see Old Glory flying anywhere. I
know the post office was shown in other episodes, so has anyone noticed weather
or not there is a flag on the Mayberry post office. It is a federal regulation
that all post offices must display the flag.

My Uncle Sam has a flag waiting for me. It is going to accompany me on my
final journey. That is one of my rewards for doing all those push-ups in basic
training.
