I've been doing a little genealogy research in my spare time. Kind of like being my own Mayberry Historical Society.
A couple of interesting facts so far. I have an "Aunt Nora"..who's husband's name begins with an O (like Ollie). I have some ancestors who served in the Revolutionary war. One of them was given an assignment by George Washington. Impressive huh? Well, his assignment was to get supplies for the soldiers at Valley Forge. >From what I've read about Valley Forge, those soldiers nearly froze and starved..so I guess it's kind of a hybrid Battle of Mayberry/ Seth Taylor story.
