Wouldn't it be great if someone could come up with a Mayberry Cartoon Strip
and get it syndicated? There has to be some cartoonist out there who has
some pull with CBS or Viacom who could get one going. I sure would look
forward to my paper more each day. A daily dose of Mayberry in the paper
would be a great antidote to the many stories of tragedy and crime.
I think my idea of a Darling Inn will not come to fruition. Last night
after dark in the moonlight I saw a duck in my backyard. It was the Omen of
the Duck.
"After dark in the moonlight if you see a duck,
Any new venture will bring you bad luck."
You just don't doubt the Omen of the Duck.
