Dewy, I'm responding to the posting of your comments that included-- "As you are opening multiple presents, and stuffing your face, remember the less fortunate. With the changing of a day, any of us could join the ranks of the less fortunate."
Now, it seems that you are assuming, as Andy did with Opie one time when he thought he was keeping all his money for himself (poor Haratio--remember), that Mayberry folks aren't charitable. Aunt Bee called him out on that deal. Well, I like to think that proper behavior for Mayberry folks is that they are brung up right and always act like somebody, so I think we have all our charity obligations squared away year 'round and especially as part of our Christmas plans. This way we can open our multiple presents and stuff our faces with that extra warm deep down feeling that giving first can only bring. Now choosing words and expressing them into text sometimes doesn't read out like they were intended when we thought of them in our heads. And I think your intentions were that of concern for the less fortunate, and I admire that. Mayberry folks need to just say "Merry Christmas to all, God bless us, everyone."
